The certification
What can I get from the certification process?
The certification process may sound daunting, but it is much simpler than you think. Read our ISO certification guide for more information.
Will you do everything for us?
We will contact you throughout the process, but it is important for you to run the project. As a certification body, we will confirm that your company meets certain standards and issue your certificate on behalf of ISO.
What else can you help us?
We can provide you with:
Templates from our extensive toolkit;
Training-we can provide these internally;
Our auditor's advice and guidance throughout the process;
A gap analysis service designed to show you what needs to be done to make you an ISO certified company.
Do I need to make significant changes to obtain ISO certification?
You shouldn't need it. Most organizations are already following best practices, so the ISO certification process usually just acknowledges this or makes small adjustments to what you are already doing.
How long does it take to obtain certification?
ISO certification is not a single event, but a continuous process to ensure that your business meets the requirements of its chosen standard. The initial certification depends on how many ISO standards you are trying to achieve and the settings of your organization. However, on average, it takes about 45-60 working days for our customers to obtain certification. After certification, there is a process of continuous improvement and recertification.
Do we have to appoint a quality manager?
Quality managers aim to ensure that the products or services provided by the organization are suitable for their purposes, including legal compliance and customer expectations. You do not need to appoint a quality manager. However, we recommend that you choose a designated representative or coordinator who will be responsible for obtaining certification in your organization.
Do you provide consultation?
If the certification company provides consulting services, there may be a conflict of interest if they subsequently certify the job. Thankfully, you don’t need a consultant to get certified, and many of our clients don’t use consultants. However, if an ISO consultant is right for your business, we can help you find one.
What is the difference between an accredited and unaccredited certification body?
An accredited certification body must conduct a rigorous assessment of its capabilities, methods and quality standards before being approved for certification. As far as we are concerned, we are accredited by UKAS (UK Certification Service), which is recognized by the British government.
Many companies find that unaccredited certification is sufficient to meet their needs. However, organizations that want to view your ISO certificate are becoming more and more interested in organizations that provide certification. By using an accredited certification body (such as our own), you can ensure that your certification is performed correctly and convince your customers that your company meets the most stringent standards.
Can I transfer my certificate to you?
Yes, it’s easy to transfer your certification, you don’t need to wait until the renewal date. You can call our team to discuss your requirements.
